Description

The Edwards 712 is a unisex quarter-zip cotton-blend sweater built for corporate, hotel, banking, and office uniform programs where a layering piece needs to carry a more premium, retail-quality appearance than standard acrylic or poly-blend sweaters.

At 87% cotton and 13% nylon, this sweater has the highest cotton content of any sweater in the Edwards lineup; the cotton content gives it a notably softer, more natural hand and a fluid drape that reads closer to a quality retail pullover than a standard uniform knit, while the nylon content adds structure so the sweater holds its shape through cold water washing and repeated wearing without the distorting and growing-out that pure cotton knitwear experiences.

The nylon zipper with a leather pull is the construction detail that elevates the 712 above the rest of the Edwards quarter-zip sweater range; leather zipper pulls are associated with premium knitwear rather than uniform apparel, and the visual weight they add to the quarter-zip opening gives the sweater a finished, higher-end look that works in corporate, financial services, resort, and upscale hotel programs where the uniform program's aesthetic is deliberately non-institutional.
