At 70% cotton, 30% polyester, this blouse has a noticeably higher cotton content than most uniform dress shirts, which is reflected in the softer hand and more natural drape that distinguishes it from predominantly polyester blends.

Pinpoint Oxford is a finer, tighter weave than standard Oxford cloth, where standard Oxford uses a basket weave with thicker yarns, pinpoint uses a more compact interlacing with finer yarns that creates a smoother, more lustrous surface that reads dressier and more refined.

The 80s 2-ply construction references the yarn specification; 80s indicates a fine yarn count, and 2-ply means two individual yarns are twisted together before weaving, which produces a stronger, smoother, and more consistent thread that resists pilling and wears better than a single-ply yarn of the same count. Together, these construction details give the 5975 a shirt quality that reads closer to a premium dress shirt than a standard uniform blouse.
