At 4.0 to 4.25 oz and 65% polyester, 35% cotton, the shirt sits at the lighter end of the poplin weight range, light enough for warm service environments, while the cotton content keeps the fabric from feeling like full synthetic against skin during long active shifts.

Poplin is a tight, plain-weave fabric with a slightly glossy surface that reads crisp and professional without the texture of oxford cloth or the sheen of sateen. The performance advantage over heavier uniform shirts is maintenance ease. Poplin comes out of the wash needing minimal pressing, the soil release finish lifts stains cleanly, and wrinkle resistance means the shirt holds its appearance through a full service shift without pressing midday.
