The same Oxford cloth fabric used in the men's companion styles 1027 and 1077 is a basket weave construction with a lightly textured surface that reads more substantial and professional than poplin or broadcloth at the same weight. That texture also makes minor wrinkles less visible during a shift, which is a practical advantage for front facing staff in active service roles.

A full cut with a back box pleat gives the blouse room through the upper back and shoulders during movement without pulling or untucking, and the button-down collar stays flat without pressing.
