Always looking for solid navy athletic shorts that my son can wear to school as part of his uniform since he hates buttons and zippers. These were great although my son says they feel a little big - but he's sort of in between sizes so some shorts fit big and some are tight. I probably would have ordered one size smaller in this style. But overall, great shorts!

My son loves these shorts. They are comfortable, a good length, have pockets, and have a draw string (which is pretty much a necessity for him for the pockets to be useable)Ordered 3 pairs (XL) in black, navy, and gray. The gray pair we received had no draw string so we requested a replacement. The replacement arrived with no draw string as well. No issues or complaints with the black or navy shorts, but if draw string is a must, you may want to skip the gray

Good quality shorts with pockets. Missing drawstring but the elastic waistband is sufficient for keeping them up. I though I could just shimmy a shoelace through the waistband for a drawstring but there’s vertical stitching that prevented this. As noted it wasn’t needed. Purchased a size M for my slightly undersized 8 year old. They fit him perfectly. Constructed of that new dryfit material, not mesh. Used for basketball games and practices, he likes them.

The Russell brand fits my son very well. These are a shorter version of another pair of Russell shorts we purchased locally. I like the length on these much better - they don't make my son look like he's wearing short pants. 😃 Very flattering and comfortable. He even wears them to sleep in. Would purchase again.
