I bought these while recovering from an abdominal surgery; part of my recovery is WALKING daily...in January! First, the pros: These are a good weight; warm enough to wear outside, but not so bulky that you want to change when you come indoors. The ankle opening is perfect, and they are a nice shade of navy. The cons: the "drawstring" is thin and hard to tie. (I may replace it.) They also have a very low "rise," so if you're long-waisted or over about 5'4", these might not be a great fit for you. I'm keeping them b/c they are the best fabric of 3 brands I've tried. These are TRUE sweatpants, not the thin joggers that are so prevalent right now!

I've worn Russell sweatpants for many years & until now, have been pleased with their quality. There has clearly been a change. The material is much lighter and doesn't have much structure (even for sweats). The shoestring tie is barely long enough to tie; it goes through barely reinforced holes. The best I can say is that the color is good & they're relatively comfortable. But I'll be looking for a new brand in the future.

I have these in a Large- purchased some time ago and they had actually shrunk after washing and have been a bit tight, so I wanted a new pair and ordered an XL. The new XL's feel thinner, way bigger and are super long! These have a lot more stretch than the orginal pair... not the same pant.
