    I've been buying Russell sweatpants for years. I'm a PE teacher and use these as my pants during cold weather months. I love the old school elasticized cuff, as opposed to the newer wide cuffs available at Walmart. The material is also the nice thick heavyweight kind I grew up with. It's a lot thicker than the new versions.My only criticism is that one of the tie straps always seems to detach and pull out. It's not a single piece of drawstring, but rather two halves sewn to the material at the rear seam. I have to repair this by buying a single drawstring at a sewing store and pulling it through the waistband with a wire hanger. This has happened with both well worn older pairs and new pairs. But it's worth it. There is nothing comparable out there with this thick material and fit.

    I had an old pair of this exact same sweatpants and it was time to retire them. Fortunately the quality of the sweatpants has not changed and I expect to use these for a long time as well. Sweatpants are comfortable and well made and are exactly as advertised. I also bought another pair for when these wear out, at which time I assume they will have discontinued making these sweatpants. I am 5'10" and the length is perfect, the waist has a "bungie" like waistband to keep them up when they are not tied off at the waist. They also have pockets on both sides and are good at keeping warm on chilly nights yet not uncomfortable.

    I had a little trouble getting these sweat pants, they ended up being 2 days late. But, once I received them, I have been wearing them every chance I get. I bought them mostly for just hanging out at the house, and they are perfect for that. I read some reviews about the elastic in the ankle being too tight, but I haven't had any trouble with that. The only problem with the fit that I have, is that they seem a little short in the waist. Now this may be a result of my build, so I'm not going to blame it on the pants. I bought the extra large, and it is supposed to fit waists between 40 and 42 inches (I couldn't find a size chart when I ordered these). I am not having any problems with these pants fitting my waist, my problem is, when I sit down, the waist line in the back drops down. I am about 5'11" and around 250 pounds. I have large thighs, and my back end is not tiny. I just don't think that they put enough material in these pants to cover that much real estate. The pants fit okay in my thighs (they are not baggy....and they don't look like yoga pants on me), but like I said, when I sit down, they pull down. If I end up ordering another pair, I might go up one more size just to be sure. By the way, with the length, they are just about right. I guess if you stretch them a little at the bottom, they will work as matching slippers with your pants. Also, these are not super warm and cozy. The fabric is relatively thin so you will probably have a tough time getting overheated for 9 months out of the year. By the way, I am wearing those pants right now as I am writing this review...Just saying'. So, if you are looking for a casual pair of pants to knock around the house with, these fit the bill pretty much.

    My husband loves these Russell Athletic sweat pants. They are exactly what he needed to lounge around the house in. They are thick and well made in Honduras. They are made with 50% cotton and 50% polyester and are soft. They wash well and did not shrink up. He is 6’-2” and 270 lbs and typically wears 2XL or 42/44 in pants. He got the 2XL and they fit perfectly; true to size and comfortable. The legs are slightly long, but he is not bothered by that; he would prefer they not be too short! Overall very pleased!

    Comfortable and soft, these sweats are perfect for lazy days watching sports on tv, but look really nice paired with an appropriate tee or hoodie when you’re out in public. Very satisfied

    I find these quite comfortable so over the course of the last 18 months or so, I have purchased 5 pairs. Here is the condition of each:Pair !. Exactly as expected upon arrival; no subsequent problemsPair 2. Exactly as expected upon arrival; after about 7 or 8 months, a small tear in the uppermost threads at top of right side pocket. I am right handed. Easily repaired if I wanted to bother. Shows no signs of enlarging so haven't bothered as yet.Pair 3. Immediately, it was impossible to access the drawstring. The hole is there and I can see the white string but all attempts to extract it were futile and only resulted in shredding the string. I believe it to have been sewn in place.Pair 4. Perfectly fine. No problems at all to datePair 5. Arrived this month. Put it on and thought at first that I had received a smaller size than what I ordered. Checked the tag...size is correct with my order. The problem is the rear waistband sits too low, having to be repeatedly tugged upward, as if there is too little fabric in the seat area. I thought that maybe I just needed to let the waistband out further but discovered that there was no more "string" to let out. It was fully extended.I've kept buying these pants because they are both comfortable and cheap. The problems haven't been serious, for my purposes. Prior to Pair 5, there have been no "deal breakers." There is one now. I will be returning this pair. Maybe I'll try again next summer. Or not.
