The elastic waist band on these shorts DO NOT hold up. Typically get one season out of them. The person that wears these has NO belly, so the band isn't getting worn out due to "stress" back in the day these were great shorts. BUT.. like everything else... manufacturers cheapen everything up to maximize their profits. As for the rest of the shorts (everything below the waist band) that holds up great..so if you're handy or want to pay someone to put a better elasticized band in, then the entire short may last for years and years.

I've bought the orange shorts when that was the only colour on offer, and when the black ones became available I was disappointed to find that they were actually smaller than the orange ones in the /same/ listed size range.The are offered as just a different colour option but they are not! The orange ones also have pockets, but the black ones do not. Which I just find bizarre, especially as the price is the same.

I bought these for my son who is 5'6" tall and these were both long on his leg and very roomy in terms of size--as he likes to be comfortable, these were all good things. The material is a bit on thin side but not overly so. These are great BASIC shorts...probably wouldn't go play basketball or anything in them, a bit too loose for that, but great for lounging around. It has a drawstring waist however so, even if a bit larger than a typical XL, it was easily adjusted. Shipped fast as well.

My son has to have no pockets for school gym but they also work great for basketball league practice. They are kinda looking over the knee but thin and cool. He really likes them and told me so WITHOUT being prompted. So you know his review is legit!

As someone who plays Rec League Flag Football, finding quality shorts with no pockets is really difficult. Our league mandates no pockets. I have personally sprained my middle finger on someone's short pockets, so I am cool with the rule. Unfortunately, finding pocketless shorts in stores is becoming harder and harder.If you like pockets, buy a different pair. If you need pocketless because you play flag football or some other sport where pockets are dangerous, these are comfortable, long and made of a quality mesh (that doesn't rip easily like those soft fabric training shorts people try to wear).

I used to be more loyal to clothing brands when I was younger. After having kids I found I am less loyal to brands…that was until I bought these bad boys. I wore Russell Athletic throughout high school & college. I quit working out when I had kids. I’m getting back in shape & love the foot of these shorts.

Wish they had pockets but love the way they fit. Not too baggy or long. Not to tight just right. Excellent fabric for exercising. Lightweight and seem durable enough to last years. Wish they had pockets but thats the only con for me. Sizing was right on. I have 36 - 38 waist and xtra large is perfect. Excellent price btw. Couldn't be more happier with the qaulity or fit. Exactly what i was searching for in an athletic short.
