I am VERY particular about my t shirts which is why I basically only wear two kinds. I wear the Hanes “Beefy” super thick t shitrts for lounging around the house and I wear these when I go places.The Hanes ones are incredibly comfortable and good quality, but (as with any super-thick t shirt) the fit/cut isn’t very stylish or good looking simply because the shirt is so thick and they are also a bit warm.These Russel shirts are sort of a good middle ground. They are thick enough to be comfortable and durable but light enough that they look good on a fit man, great to wear with some jeans for a trip to the movies and also with some workout pants to the gym.

I bought a couple of these back in spring 2021 and they are thin and lightweight, great for when it is cool but not cold and not wanting to wear a thicker hoodie or sweatshirt. They look good and feel nice but they will not last a long time even with just occasion wear. I've had to sew up holes at the top corners of the front pouch since the fabric is thin and cannot take much use. Also have had to sew side where seam came loose at the side tag. The side tag is plastic and is irritating and has to be cut out, just don't cut too close to seam.

Like a previous reviewer stated, you have to put the 'athletic' in Russell, meaning if your body is long & lean like the models pictured on the page it will fit like that - if not adjust accordingly.I found that it washes and dries well however I was using mild detergent with warm/cool wash settings and only drying on medium till damp/dry.I cannot say how it would stand up to most peoples washing in hot and drying to a crisp laundry routines.

I was just reading some reviews of RA clothes and this line got me "It looks more fitted on the model than it did my husband" Really,someone wrote that??? The thing about Russell Athletic that people seem to forget when they criticize their clothes for being "boxy" and "don't fit like they used to".Umm I hate to tell you this but there is a small chance,just a tiny chance really, that you're not in the same shape as you used to be. The thing about Russell Athletic, and this has always been true, is you have to provide the athletic part.I know it doesn't seem fair does it? Strange thing happenned though I bought a bunch of these shirts a year ago and I was not impressed by how boxy they were. Now I have had a lot of spare time during Covid and spent a lot of time working out and walking and running with the dog. Recently I have noticed they fit better, they're not as boxy as they were?Weird eh, I guess that one will remain a mystery.5 stars I like them all,especially the 100% cotton versions, they are a real throw back to university days before Nike or UA and even dri-fit existed.

I needed a couple long sleeved t-shirts to wear under a work shirt that is short sleeved for the colder weather. So, I ordered two of these. I got them in two shipments. I washed them and they didn't shrink up. (Dried them on a lower setting so they wouldn't.) They fit just fine and seem to go from my shoulder to the wrist as a long sleeved t-shirt would be expected to do. I can't speak to how well they hold their color before they fade yet. I don't know if they will last a long time yet. I can say they do fine for me so far. I wouldn't expect them to keep you very warm but on a 45 degree day (f) with the sun shining and very minimal wind, they did just fine. Of course, I wasn't outside for any great length of time but didn't wish I had a jacket on while I was.If they hold up I may buy a few more of the lighter colors. I got black and navy because they go with my work shirt. I am thinking about wearing the lighter colored ones outside on sunny days when I'm fishing to keep the sun off my arms a little.Should there be any issues arise in the near future, I'll update this review.

I purchased this shirt in navy and black heather because I wanted to wear this during my volleyball games in the winter when it's too cold to wear a short sleeve shirt.WHAT I LIKE:[+] Tag-less design. In my opinion, every shirts should be tag free design![+] Good mix of cotton and polyester for softness yet wicks moisture and sweats[+] Vibrant colors[+] PriceWHAT I DON'T LIKE:[-] Both shirts run small in sleeve length and body lengthI wear size Medium but these looked kind of ridiculous because sleeves came up too short when I wore them. The upper body fit was fine but again, the overall shirt length was shorter than normal, which revealed my stomach whenever I jumped.I ended up giving both shirts to my teenager son, who wears size Small and it fits better on him as you can see in the photos.THE BOTTOM LINE:3 out of 5 stars. I GET A BUNCH OF THESE FOR MYSELF EVERY YEAR. WHEN THEY WEAR OUT FROM SO MUCH USE OR TOO MANY STAINS, I JUST BUY MORE. THEY'RE GREAT IN THE WINTER. . NOT TOO HEAVY. GREAT FOR LOUNGING.WHEN THE WEATHER GETS WARM BUT THE NIGHTS ARE COOL, THEY'RE PERFECT. I USUALLY GET WHITE OR GREY. MY HUSBAND HAS GREY AS WELL.
