At 3.2 ounces, it runs very light, and a moisture-wicking finish pulls sweat off the skin to dry rather than letting the shirt cling in heat.

A UPF 30+ rating means the fabric blocks roughly 96.7 percent of UV radiation, which matters on open water or an open deck where there is no shade and the sun reflects back up as well as down. The easy care construction means the shirt holds its finish through repeated washing without ironing, the practical requirement for a uniform worn several days a week.
