    The denim weight was just like it used to be before the bean counters replaced the textile workers, very nice heavy weight denim material that will wear well over time. It is an American XL not Asian XL. Excellent shirt!

    I like the shirt, its constructed well, and I plan to keep it. However, the sizing is not too reliable. Anytime I buy shirts that are sized small, medium, large, etc., versus neck size and sleeve length, I have a problem with the fit. I went a size small based on the sizing information and its a little snug but doable. A medium would have been too large. If you are the type that might fall between sizes, I'd stay away from this product. Something won't fit right.

    I was trying to figure out what size shirt to order, but after looking at the manufacturer's provided size guide decided on XS (Extra Small). My existing denim shirts are size S, and fit nicely. The Port Authority XS fits me well for sleeve length, chest, collar and waist. I'm 5'4" with 14.5" neck, 37" chest, and 28" waist (I work out a lot, and am slim and muscular). The only thing I was surprised at was that the XS shirt length seemed a bit short below the waistline, but it NEVER came out of my pants when bending over, so I'm happy! Totally no complaints about the fit!The shirt is very well made, and is a nice dark shade of denim that matches my jeans well. I plan to order several more of this exact shirt because of the fit and the quality. So much better than the shirts I had bought elsewhere. I've washed these twice so far (I wash them inside-out to keep from excess wear and color loss). The shirt is in perfect condition, and didn't get wrinkled or faded so far. Definitely worth buying!Update: I bought another of these shirts, this time in SMALL, not EXTRA SMALL. The XS shirt sleeve length was a bit too short for me such that my wrists came a bit too far out of the cuffs, especially if I raised my arms. Also, although the shirt ended barely a couple of inches below my belt line (I wear skinny jeans with the waist below the navel) the XS shirt never came out of my pants. However, for me, the Small size was much better in sleeve length and shirt tail length. My normal sleeve length is 32", so I think the XS is more like 30".Bottom line: Now with a size S, I like these shirts EVEN MORE, since there is now nothing "iffy" about the fit - for me. I intend to get more shirts like this, maybe in a lighter denim color as well as maybe black, if they make them.

    I originally bought my first shirt from this vendor for my summer gardening wear. It's hot here in the north Texas Gulf Coast area & I'd been wearing denim shirts in the summer as protective gear. I bought my last denim shirt from a giant brick & mortar store in the NE through the Internet. This time, I shopped the Internet before I made the purchase. I found that the denim shirt I bought through Amazon was equal in quality & construction and about 2/3rd the price of my previous buy. When the shirt arrived, I was so pleased with it that I purchased 2 more from the same vendor.I have no complaints about the shirts but I would like shirt makers to offer "no button collars."

    Wanted a thick material denim shirt. This was it! This was just what I wanted and at a price that I could afford! fit well and was true to the size. Washes great!

    Love the quality of this denim shirt. And it truly is denim and not denim coloured like most in shops today. If you are in between sizes then air on the size smaller as they are a generous fit. My husband is a large normally and whilst this fits him it is generous. I am ordering another in a medium to go under a blue linen jacket he has. At such great value I asked my two sons (30's) if they would like one. They explained there is always a dilemma what to wear with a denim shirt as double denim is a no no apparently!! I may be of certain age but to me there is nothing classier (sexier) than jeans and a denim shirt on a man of whatever age so won't be following this current view. The only style rule for me would be the shirt needs to be a lighter denim than the jeans to look right. Don't be put off by the price of this following the rule 'you get what you pay for' as in this case you get a lot more. Great value and quality. Takes a couple of weeks to arrive but well worth the wait. My often double-denim wearer doesn't get excited about clothes but is very chuffed to have found this shirt.

We'll see how it holds up over the long term, but I recommend this shirt for others.

    Bought this shirt for my husband for Christmas to replace his favorite and very worn out Izod denim shirt. Ordered it over 30 days ago so doubt I could return it. My husband opened it yesterday and he seems pleased, but I do NOT like it. The back of the shirt has threads (orange-y) that go all the way across the wide part. I noticed those threads on the front too. I think it is downright ugly, but hubby only wears it as a "big shirt". It arrived in a mailer and it was very wrinkled, having been almost wadded up and mailed that way. There is no way I would recommend this thin, non-stylish shirt!
