Description

The Port Authority J714 C-FREE is a rain jacket built with a 100% recycled polyester shell and lining, fully seam-sealed with a water-resistant finish. Seam sealing is what separates a real rain jacket from a water-resistant one: every stitch line is taped over so water cannot enter through the needle holes, and that is what earns the 8000 mm waterproof rating, enough to hold back sustained rain rather than a passing shower. A 5000 g/m² breathability rating means vapor still moves out, so the wearer stays dry from the inside during activity rather than sealing sweat in. The jacket's carbon footprint has been measured and reduced through preferred materials and carbon offset investment under the ClimeCo Certified Product Program.

A full-length exterior storm flap with hidden snaps covers the zipper line, blocking the one path water would otherwise take straight through the front, and the hidden snaps keep the face of the jacket clean. An attached adjustable hood pulls in around the face, adjustable hook-and-loop tabs close the cuffs against rain running down the sleeve, and an adjustable locking drawcord at a slight drop-tail hem pulls the bottom in while the longer back gives coverage when bending. Hidden zippered pockets keep contents dry and out of sight, and a Port Pocket opens the lining for decoration access, so embroidery can be applied without stitching through the seam-sealed shell. Corporate and event staff, outdoor crews, hospitality teams, and facilities programs are the common fit.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors.
Do not bleach, as bleach damages the seam tape and water-resistant finish.
Tumble dry low to protect the seam sealing.
Do not use fabric softener, since it reduces water repellency and breathability.
Do not iron directly over any decoration.
