Measured across the chest one inch below armhole when laid flat.

Start at center of neck and measure down shoulder, down sleeve to hem.

I was very very happy with fit. I like my tshirts loose anyways but sometimes when you get the larger sizes the arms and shoulders aren't right but these are. The only thing that I was a little disappointed was the color. The picture and the color I got don't match in my eyes but that being said it is pink and I like pink so everything is OK.

For 6 bucks and some change, I will not complain. Bought this for my guy, who has really broad shoulders, so shirts tend to be short on him. He's usually about a 2X-3X depending on the cut of the shirt, so the 4X provides a little bit of extra length. Now, I have to admit that I believe after washing (because he won't wear any new article of clothing without me washing it first) that it shrunk a tiny bit. Just a miniscule amount. I had him try it on when we got it in the mail, and it just seemed a little bit looser before washing. So keep that in mind. It's still a good shirt though, and a great buy.
