    I bought three t-shirts to compare: Fruit Of The Loom 5.6 oz Heavy Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt 4930, Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee and the Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Here's what I found:So that you can judge how the fit I describe will translate to you, I am 6'1", weigh 190lbs, and I wear a 35" dress-shirt sleeve. I bought the "large" size in all three shirts.I like all three of the shirts for quality and comfort, with small difference in each that may make a difference for you.Fruit of the Loom - I bought black, and it's definitely black. The fabric is the heaviest (thick but also a little stiff) of all three shirts. It fits like an Under Armour shirt, which is to say athletic -- the sleeves are tight and it's fitted in the chest. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Hanes Adult Tagless Long Sleeve Tee - the black is a little on the Navy Blue side. The fabric is lighter, but not thin, and soft. There is a little extra room through the body and sleeves; it feels fitted, but not tight. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up.Gildan Men's G240 Ultra Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt (this shirt) - I bought "Heather" and was surprised that it was slightly blue; I was expecting grey. The fabric is similar to the Hanes -- light and soft. There is a little extra fabric around the middle, but it's not a tent. The sleeves are long enough to reach my wrists without pulling up. I hesitated buying this unfamiliar brand until I realized that a shirt I've been wearing for about 6 years was a Gildan. It's held up very well, so I tried this one.

    This long sleeve shirt is okay. I bought a 2x, fits okay in the chest and hip area (I have an hour glass figure and top heavy), however, the arms are huge and way too loose. I bought a better long sleeve Gildan shirt at Michaels for a lot cheaper. I give three stars, because I do love Gildan shirts, and this was still the same price as Wal mart at the time. Also, the shirt did not come packaged very nicely. It was scrunched up in a packing bag. So a little disappointed there.

    Fits well. Since I buy for my husband of 6 decades online, fits well can't be a fortuitous event. It has to be long enough, wide enough, but not slouchy-sloppy. It fit well.Red is a cheery colour for seniors. Washes without bleeding, dries and returns to original shape.And the Man likes it.

    Quality seems pretty good. Price point is really good. I normally wear a Large, my chest is about a 42". However I ordered XL for these, and they are plenty roomy and the sleeves about 1.5 inches too long. I was looking for summer comfort without being too tight so the XL should be acceptable. I'll end up wearing out and staining the cuffs as they are so long on my frame, I have to curl the cuffs back to keep out of the way while working with my hands.

    Like this long sleeve t-shirt. Great thickness for the winter. Great the way the sleeves and neck is finished off-will not ravel and keeps their shape. They wash up really nice and I flatten out wrinkles with my hands.

    The shirt was very nice, it came 1 day before the expected date and was clean. These fit small so always go a size up for a comforable fit. If you want a tighter fit to show off your body than go for it.

    This t-shirt is comfortable and fits well. I ordered one size up assuming it would shrink the first time I washed it, which it did.
