Made from 100% Tuff-Pil Plus acrylic, this cardigan is distinct from the cotton-blend open cardigans in the Edwards ladies' sweater line; the full acrylic construction provides more structured shape retention through repeated wearing and washing than cotton blends, and the Tuff-Pil Plus engineered acrylic specifically resists the surface pilling that standard acrylic develops at placket edges, cuff ribs, and pocket openings through daily use.

The vertical ribbed placket runs down both front opening edges of the cardigan rather than a standard smooth open edge; the ribbing adds visual structure and weight to the front of the cardigan, so the edges hang cleanly and frame the neckline rather than curling or folding back during wear. 

Two lower welt pockets at the hip provide discreet, accessible storage for small items throughout a shift without the visual bulk of patch or flap pockets on the front of the garment. Ribbed long sleeves and ribbed bottom hem finish all edges with a consistent, coordinated rib texture.
