At 5.8 oz and 100% polyester, the shirt is made for demanding daily wear; heavier than a standard uniform polo but lighter than a dress shirt, which positions it as the practical middle-ground fabric weight for housekeeping and facility service roles where staff are in near-constant physical movement through a full shift.

The hidden button placket is the defining aesthetic detail of the 4278. Rather than a visible button row down the front, the placket folds over the buttons to create a smooth, unbroken front line that reads cleaner and more formal than a standard service shirt construction.
