The fine-gauge jersey stitch produces a smooth, flat surface that sits close to the body and layers cleanly under a blazer or suit coat without adding bulk at the collar or shoulders, making it equally well suited to wearing alone over a blouse or dress shirt. An attached placket front keeps the opening edge clean and flat during wear, and rib-knit cuffs and waistband provide structured finishing at the sleeves and hem.
