Edwards 1586 is a dry mesh polo with snap-front placket built for restaurant, cafeteria, food and beverage, and kitchen-adjacent service programs where a polo needs to handle active food service environments with ventilation, antimicrobial protection, and a closure format that does not present a safety hazard near kitchen equipment. At 4.0 to 4.25 oz and 100% polyester dry mesh, the open-knit construction allows active airflow directly through the weave during wear, keeping body heat from building up through high-heat cooking and service shifts.

The three-snap gripper placket is the defining safety detail of the 1586. Gripper snaps release under force rather than holding rigid, so if the placket catches on equipment or a rack edge during kitchen movement, the snaps give way instead of snagging the wearer. The tagless rib-knit collar eliminates neck label irritation through long service shifts. Hemmed sleeves, side vents, and a straight hem round out the construction.
