At 4.0 to 4.25 oz and 100% polyester dry mesh, the open-knit construction allows active airflow directly through the weave during wear, keeping body heat from building up through high-heat cooking and service shifts.

The three-snap gripper placket is the defining safety detail of the 1586. Gripper snaps release under force rather than holding rigid, so if the placket catches on equipment or a rack edge during kitchen movement, the snaps give way instead of snagging the wearer.
