1226 Edwards Security Shirt - Short Sleeve

Edwards 1226 is a short-sleeve security shirt built for private security, campus security, law enforcement support, event security, and public safety programs that specify a poly-cotton blend fabric in their uniform requirements rather than a full polyester construction. At 5 oz and 65% polyester, 35% cotton, the fabric provides a softer hand and slightly more breathable wear than the 100% polyester security shirt, a meaningful difference for officers wearing a security shirt through warm outdoor shifts or in climate-controlled indoor environments where full polyester can feel warmer against skin during extended active duty.

The six operational construction details built into the 1226 are the same as the rest of the Edwards security shirt line. Permanent collar stays keep the collar flat and structured through a full shift without any attention from the wearer. X-stitch epaulets provide reinforced shoulder attachment points for rank insignia and unit identifiers. The badge tab with reinforced sling gives officers a proper, secure badge mounting location that does not pull or distort the front of the shirt through repeated wear. 

Pleated patch pockets with scalloped flaps and self-fastening closures keep pocket contents secure during active patrol. Traditional sewn-in creases front and back maintain a pressed appearance through a full shift without re-ironing. The longer body length helps the shirt stay tucked through active movement and vehicle operation. Heat-seal decoration is recommended on sleeves only to preserve the front construction. The long-sleeve poly-cotton companion shirt is style 1276.
