Description

The Dickies 33237 is a men's hooded jacket built on a 100% nylon ripstop shell with a full 100% polyester fleece lining. Ripstop weaves a reinforcing grid of heavier threads into the fabric at regular intervals, so a tear that starts stops at the next grid line rather than running across the panel, which is why ripstop holds up on a job site where a plain weave would open up on the first snag. Nylon also resists abrasion better than polyester at the same weight and sheds water off the face rather than soaking it in.

The fleece lining runs through the full jacket rather than only the body, so warmth stays consistent from the torso through the sleeves instead of dropping off where a jacket is usually left unlined. That combination makes it a cold-weather working layer: a tough, water-resistant outside with a warm, soft inside. The hood adds coverage for the head and neck when the weather turns, and the cut is a regular fit, leaving room to move and to layer underneath. Construction and trade programs, utility and field crews, fleet and transport staff, and outdoor work teams are the common fit.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold with like colors.
Do not bleach, as bleach weakens nylon and causes yellowing.
Tumble dry low, since nylon is heat sensitive.
Do not use fabric softener, since it reduces water resistance and mats the fleece.
Do not iron, as nylon melts at low heat.
