Description

The Columbia 212471 Benton Springs is a women's fleece vest made from 100% polyester MTR filament fleece at 250g. Filament fleece is knit from continuous fibers rather than short staple fibers, which is why it resists pilling and holds its loft longer than a spun fleece of the same weight. At 250g, it is a midweight, warm enough over a shirt on its own and thin enough to layer under a shell.

A cold-blocking collar stands higher than a standard fleece collar, closing off the gap at the neck where cold air usually gets in when a vest leaves the arms and shoulders exposed. Zippered pockets secure contents through movement rather than letting them fall out when the wearer bends. The cut is a regular fit. A Columbia woven patch sits on the back yoke, which is worth knowing for decoration: the upper back is taken, so a back design has to work around it, while the chest stays open. This is a customizable piece. Outdoor and cold weather retail, layering programs, and custom decorated apparel programs are the common fit.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold with like colors.
Do not bleach, as bleach weakens polyester fibers.
Tumble dry low to protect the fleece loft.
Do not use fabric softener, since it mats the fleece surface.
Do not iron directly over any decoration.
