Description

The Columbia 212464 PFG Bahama II is a short-sleeve shirt made from 100% Tactel nylon taffeta. Tactel is a fine-filament nylon that runs lighter and softer than standard nylon while keeping nylon's abrasion resistance, and taffeta weaves it tight so the fabric sheds water and dries fast. Omni-Shade rates it UPF 50, blocking roughly 98 percent of UV radiation, and an antimicrobial treatment works against the bacteria that cause odor on a shirt worn through long days.

Ventilation is built into the back. Hidden shoulder vents let hot air escape without breaking the line of the shirt, and a mesh back lining keeps those openings from gaping while air still passes through. The front carries lift-top pockets set within a larger pocket, so small items sit in the top compartment while the main pocket holds larger ones. A utility loop takes pliers or sunglasses, and a rod-holder loop on the left chest secures a rod while both hands are working. Buttons close the collar and the center-front placket. The cut is a relaxed fit.

Branding runs in three places on this shirt: a Columbia woven patch at the left chest, Omni-Shade branding on the left sleeve hem, and a PFG patch on the center back vent. That leaves the right chest and the lower back as the practical decoration areas, so placement is worth confirming before an order. This is a customizable piece. Fishing and boating, outdoor and warm weather retail, and custom decorated apparel programs are the common fit.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold with like colors.
Do not bleach, as bleach weakens nylon and causes yellowing.
Tumble dry low, since nylon is heat-sensitive.
