Description

The Columbia 212428 Skien Valley is a women's lightweight hooded jacket made from 100% recycled polyester, sourced from reclaimed material rather than virgin production. Omni-Shade rates the fabric UPF 50, blocking roughly 98 percent of UV radiation, and Omni-Wick pulls moisture to the surface where it evaporates, so the jacket works as sun and wind cover in heat rather than as a warmth layer.

The hood carries an integrated mesh face mask, which pulls up to shield the lower face from sun and insects while still letting air through, a feature aimed at long days outdoors rather than general wear. Mesh venting on the back yoke releases heat that would otherwise build under a closed shell. Elastic cuffs and a drawcord adjustable hem seal both openings; extended zipper pulls work with cold or gloved hands; and hand pockets plus a chest pocket close with hook-and-loop. A Columbia woven patch sits on the pocket, leaving the opposite chest and most of the back open for decoration. Outdoor and warm weather retail, hiking and travel programs, and custom decorated apparel programs are the common fit.
