The Columbia 1682201 Ale Creek is a beanie knit from 100% acrylic. Acrylic gives the cap a soft, wool-like hand without the scratchiness of coarse wool, holds dye well, and washes without the felting risk that comes with animal fibers.

The cut is a slouchy fit, so the knit runs longer than a close-fitting beanie and gathers at the back of the crown rather than sitting tight to the skull.
