Description

The Columbia 168220 Ale Creek is a beanie knit from 100% acrylic. Acrylic gives the cap a soft, wool-like hand without the scratchiness of coarse wool, holds dye well, and washes without the felting risk that comes with animal fibers.

The cut is a slouchy fit, so the knit runs longer than a close-fitting beanie and gathers at the back of the crown rather than sitting tight to the skull. That extra length is more a styling choice than a warm one, though it does let the wearer pull it down further over the ears in the cold. A Columbia patch logo is applied to the front. This is a customizable piece, and since the patch takes the front position, decoration usually runs to the side or above it, on flat fabric rather than where the knit gathers. Ski and snowsports retail, cold weather outdoor programs, and custom decorated headwear programs are the common fit.
