Description

The Columbia 155205 Rapid Rivers II is a men's shirt made from a 97/3 blend of cotton and elastane. The cotton majority gives the shirt a natural hand and breathability that a fully synthetic does not, while the small elastane share adds stretch and recovery, so the fabric moves with the body through reaching and casting instead of binding. Omni-Shade rates the fabric UPF 40, blocking roughly 97.5 percent of UV radiation, and Omni-Wick moves moisture off the skin to dry.

The shirt is vented, which releases hot air that would otherwise build inside a cotton shirt in direct sun, and multi-functional pockets carry gear on the chest rather than in a pack. The cut is a regular fit, leaving room to move rather than sitting close. Columbia branding appears in two places: a woven patch on the pocket and Omni-Shade branding on the left sleeve hem, with a woven label finishing the garment. This is a customizable piece, and since the chest pocket carries the brand patch, decoration usually runs on the opposite chest or the back. Fishing and boating, outdoor and warm weather retail, and custom decorated apparel programs are the common fit.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold with like colors.
Do not bleach, as bleach weakens cotton and elastane and can reduce UV protection.
Tumble dry low, since heat breaks down elastane.
Do not use fabric softener, since it reduces wicking performance.
Do not iron directly over any decoration.
