    I ordered these for my eight year old daughter who goes to a catholic school for PE class. It had to be a decent length and cover her properly without being transparent. This sort of fits the bill, let me explain.She is 4' - 8" tall, which is pretty tall for 8 years old, and 86lbs. I read the size chart and the reviews and initially bought the medium size, which fit at the waist and hip but was a little shorter than I wanted (I wanted just like three inches above her knee). I reordered the large and that was perfect. Fit like soccer shorts. Please note that the material does show the color of her undies through so I let her wear dark undies or tights under. If you are looking for a thick, substantial material this is not it! But this works for us. And after a few washes I did have a few stray threads but it looks like it will last her the year.

    These are a little thick but have air holes for breathability. They are soft and comfortable. The waist is too large on my daughter but she is skinny. Because they are of great quality, I’ll keep them until she grows into them. Recommend sizing down if you have a skinny waist to deal with. They aren’t too short, like many of the girl’s shorts today. They come mid thigh. Worth the price!

    These are fantastic! Our softball team agreed on black shorts for our girls. My gal is in between 5/6T bottoms right now and I thought I'd give these a try since they were only $10. I ordered a size Small and they are perfect! and not see through at all! I bought another pair for back up! My gal says they're super comfy too! I highly recommend these.

    Good fit, doesn't seemed tailored specifically for girls. Had my son wearing these all day before I realized they were his sisters! They have the same gym uniform requirements. Fits like a basketball short, midway to the knee. I bought a medium and they fit my daughter who is a size 8/10 (60lbs) and my son who is a size 6/7 (50lbs).

    I bought these as my granddaughters ( 6 yrs and 7 yrs old) gym shorts. I bought two one medium and one small. the mediums fit perfect (6-7 size) and have a drawstring waist to adjust. The small were way too small fitting a 3-4 yr old. The material is lightweight no underlining but cooling for gym activities. Not so great is that a return shipping is deducted from the original cost of item. No free returns by this company.

    I bought these for my daughter who has just started soccer this year. The only shorts we had for her previously were great for hanging around the house, but were ridiculously too short when stretching and warming up for sports.These maintain her dignity while stretching, warming up, and getting active on the pitch. We bought them in her team red as back-up shorts for her uniform. Then we went back and bought more (other colors) for practices. She loves them.I did wash them with “like colors” at first - they are color intense and there was color rub on the drawstrings. But after that, we wash them cold with other brights. They are holding up well, but the hem of the pink ones is slowly unraveling.I will buy more. And keep going with this brand as she grows. The fabric breaths and flows well. Easy to care for (cold wash, low heat dry). And the red is spot-on identical to her team’s regulation red. Really happy with finding these.

    We needed soccer shorts and local retailers were out of girls size small. Ordered these in a size small for my 4 1/2 year old (she is tall for her age and has a very sturdy build) and they are perfect! Length is just right and th mesh is breathable without being able to see through.
