F497W American Apparel Unisex Flex Fleece Zip Hoodie

This jacket is fantastic. I just received this a few minutes ago and I can say I found the perfect fall hoodie.Material: Its not too thin that you feel like you're only wearing a long sleeve shirt with a zipper on the front, and it's not too thick that you feel like you're wearing something meant for winter only. The inside is an extremely soft material, and hopefully it holds up over time. Also the hood is double layered (2-ply), so it's not thin like other hoodies and should keep you warm if you need it.Fit: I am a 5'9" guy, and only 145 lbs, so most jackets look like cloaks on me, but not this one! The cuffs are nice and tight which prevents them from being loose on my smaller wrists, and the sleeves don't have a ton of extra slack in them. Also when the jacket is zipped up, it is very form fitting (I guess in t-shirt terms I'd place it somewhere between normal and slim fit).Color: Lastly, the color is nowhere near as assaultive as the picture on the listing shows. It's a really great shade of blue, but on a scale of 1 - 10 I'd put the listing picture at a 9 in brightness, and in reality it's more like a 5-6. I can't stress it enough, this is a really nice jacket, and totally worth the $33 I paid for it. If this thing ever goes on sale for $25 or less, you should hop on it in a heartbeat

I have really long arms. I always have to order 34"-35" sleeve length. Despite what the size chart says, shirts often don't come with that sleeve length. Along with this sweatshirt, I ordered 13 others from various Amazon vendors. Of those 13, I had to return 9 of them for being too small, for having too short of sleeves. This one came with the longest arms of all, maybe 36" length sleeves. I'm wearing it right now in fact. I absolutely LOVE it. I know it'll shrink a bit when I wash it, but it has enough length that that won't matter. Also, I'm relatively thin but buy XL for sleeve length, and this isn't too baggy. It fits like what in America is generally a large tall (LT). I was a little worried, this coming from the UK, but I'm so, so, so, so happy. Plus, I have a British sweatshirt. Ooh la la! Or should I say "Brilliant!" Anyway, nothing about this sweatshirt disappoints, and of all the sweatshirts I bought, it was the second cheapest. I'll be buying more of these. If you want a light-weight hoodie that's actually the size they say it is, then go with this seller. I am beyond happy.

Nice and fluffy inside, good thick quality, colour as seen, I ordered it for a teen who is a size 8/10 and it is more like a size 12 I would say. The small would have been big enough. However that said she likes it. I think the size guide could have been a little more helpful. The product itself is good value.

Just aprons have been great, deal with problem very quickly and have been very good in the matter and have ordered more because they have followed up the issue quickly and in a pleasant manner. Thanks again

The sweatshirt is comfortable, great for lounging around the house or wearing out and about. About a week into wearing it I noticed the color is fading on the edges of the sleeves. I've never had this happen with a sweatshirt before. Doesn't seem to be a colorfast dye--I haven't even washed it yet. Now I'm embarrassed to wear it in public. Will have to look elsewhere for a good hoodie.

Love the quality of this hoodie. It's really soft and warm and cosy. It's also lightweight. I am going to take it travelling with me as it's so versatile. But having read previous reviews I thought I was going to need a large as a size 16 dress / size 14 top type of woman but I think it's too baggy and I have since ordered a medium as well. Who knows what I will now do with the large!

I ordered 2 of these zip up sweatshirts, one size in XS and one in S in a light bright pink color. The XS was damaged and could not be shipped. The wrong color was sent (a dark bright pink). The company contacted me and about the damaged item and they also acknowledged that the color for the S was incorrect. They refunded both items. I was happy with the resolution and would recommend this product.

I am 5'4.5'', 120lbs. I read that someone similar to my build either bought a small or an x-small. I eventually decided to buy x-small because I have too many loose hoodies already. It is the right decision! It is definitely more fitted for a hoodie but definitely not tight. Then again I usually only have a tank top underneath. If you want to layer, it probably will be tighter. The sleeves are very long, which is a plus for me but some people might find it annoying. All in all, I am so glad I went with xs. Had I gone with a small, the sleeves would have been way too long and the hoodie would fit like a boyfriend hoodie. Hope this helps!

Excellent quality hoodie! I bought it in purple and it appears to be an authentic American Apparel hoodie. The inner fleece is very soft and so is the outer material. I've had this hoodie for several months now and it still looks like new! I'm a 5'1" gal, 110 pounds, and I like my hoodies to fit baggy and slouchy, so I bought the medium and it fits perfectly! I had bought the XS size before, but it was too tight in the torso. To extend the life of this jacket, I'd recommend washing it - only when it really needs to be cleaned - on delicate cycle and then hang drying it.

I love a good hoodie. And for some reason, I can never trust hoodies unless they're American Apparel. Not that It's about the brand, but they always live up to its name in comfort and selection of solid colors. I have a maroon fleece hoodie and a blue terry hoodie and just wanted a different more neutral color, so I picked slate. It's a cool blue/gray-ish tone, which is exactly what I was looking for. And thankfully for Prime Day, it was on sale! I'm usually an XS in clothing, but the XS was a bit snug for my liking as a hoodie, the S is perfect for layering. My husband also has 3 American Apparel hoodies that he religiously wears. Tip: try not to stick these hoodies in the dryer to avoid pilling of the fleece and/or shrinkage (since they're cotton). Or if you'd rather stick them in the dryer (and are too lazy to hang dry sometimes, like me), try to turn it to the lowest setting of heat and take them out before completely dry.
