Description

The 9179 DOT Class 3 T-Shirt from Kishigo carries a detail that came directly from the field. At the request of the Department of Transportation, the front has a black bottom, adding contrast to the shirt and keeping the lower edge from showing the dirt it collects first when a crew member leans against a truck bed, a barrier, or a piece of equipment. The rest of the shirt stays bright, so the wearer reads clearly while the part that takes the most abuse still looks presentable late in the day.

The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend with a mesh back. The spandex lets the shirt give as the wearer moves, so it does not bind across the shoulders when lifting cones or reaching into a truck, and the mesh back lets heat escape through long outdoor shifts. The reflective tape is breathable and stretches along with the fabric, flexing through movement instead of forming stiff bands that pull at the seams or crack over time. A left chest pocket keeps a pen or small notepad within reach.
