At 6.2 oz and made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton, the coat uses the same fabric blend as the companion 10-button style 3333 but differs in cut and closure: the 3331 is full cut with a mitered breast pocket and 12 cloth-covered buttons rather than the 3333's slimmer cut and 10 matching buttons. The full cut provides more room through the chest and arms for kitchen movement and layering.

The 12 cloth-covered buttons are a traditional culinary detail that reads more classically formal than synthetic or metal buttons, standard construction for higher-end restaurant and hotel kitchen programs. The placket buttons in either direction, accommodating left- and right-handed closures across a mixed kitchen team. The moisture-wicking back mesh panel allows air circulation during active cooking and reduces heat buildup.
