1290 Edwards Mens Cafe Shirt-Long Sleeve

Edwards 1290 is a café long-sleeve shirt built for restaurant, coffee shop, catering, and food service uniform programs where a clean, lightweight broadcloth shirt with a more casual collar style is preferred over a formal button-down or oxford dress shirt. At 3.1 to 3.5 oz and made from a 65% polyester, 35% cotton broadcloth blend, this is one of the lightest-weight woven shirts in the Edwards lineup, comparable in feel to the batiste family but in a broadcloth construction, which gives it a smoother, flatter surface without the subtle texture of oxford cloth.

The café collar is a narrow, open-spread collar without a button-down tab, which gives the shirt a relaxed, contemporary look compared to a formal point or button-down collar while still reading as professional in front-of-house service environments. 

The covered placket hides the button row from the front, keeping the shirt visually clean. No pocket removes visual clutter from the front and is a standard construction detail in European-influenced café and restaurant uniform programs. A two-button adjustable cuff allows wearers to fine-tune sleeve fit. Ladies' companion style is 5290.
