Description

Edwards 1013 is a midweight, pre-washed, short-sleeve denim shirt built for outdoor service, maintenance, grounds, delivery, construction support, and casual work environments where a denim shirt is part of the uniform or provides a practical, durable alternative to standard dress shirt fabrics. At 6.5 oz and 100% cotton denim, the shirt has the natural hand, breathability, and worn-in comfort that polyester blends cannot replicate, which is why denim remains a standard fabric in trades, outdoor hospitality, and casual uniform programs despite requiring more care than performance synthetics.

A pre-washed finish is a key detail for uniform programs. Raw denim shrinks significantly in the first several wash cycles and feels stiff until broken in. Pre-washing addresses both problems before the shirt reaches the wearer. The fabric arrives already shrunk to its stable dimensions and already soft, so staff get broken-in comfort from day one without the sizing guesswork that raw denim requires. The button-down collar keeps the collar lying flat during active outdoor work without needing to stay pressed, and the left chest pocket provides practical on-shift storage. The long-sleeve companion style is 1093.
