I read some reviews of this shirt about the sizing which stated buy a size smaller that you would normally buy, so I bought a medium as I would normally buy a large. The medium was too small. I returned and bought a large which is perfect. So for me, I buy this shirt in a large as I would for any other shirt I would buy. The shirt is wrinkled when arriving. I used a steamer, and it removed the wrinkles nicely and quickly. Be careful using a steamer. It is nylon/polyester, so I just hit it quickly and don't leave it too long in one place. The steamer is always moving over the fabric. Good shirt. I like it , and will probably build a collection of these in different colors. Excellent summer shirt, and will be cooler than a T-shirt in my estimation. Never heard of a fishing shirt before. Glad to make this discovery, though I will still get my fish from Costco and wear this shirt as I buy them.

It's a nice shirt, but way too thick of a material for warm weather. I was expecting something lighter duty and more breathable like my nylon sun pants. Fabric also feels a bit rough and isn't brushed. Size all around seems fine, but the neck was super tight when fully buttoned, which is bad for a hot weather shirt. Going up a size would help but them the arms would be too long.I will have to return this shirt. It's just not good enough for what I need. I found a similar shirt from a different brand that is made from polyester and is much lighter and better in hot weather.

Almost impossible to find these in the UK. Have bought a number in various colours from USA.Very unusual design and colours.I struggled trying to understand the size.

This is the second shirt of this type I've bought. I use it in Baja for summer fishing on the Sea of Cortez where it is frequently 95+ degrees and humid in unfiltered sun. Me and the shirt are in the sun for about 8 hours. The material is very lightweight but blocks the sun at SPF 50 level, I think. The sleeves can be rolled up to short sleeves or left longsleeve. I leave them down and the material is very breathable so your forearms stay comfortable. I also turn up the collar to protect my neck. I wash it out at the end of the day and it's dry in a few hours and ready to go for the next day. It's nice to do so, but you don't need soap to wash out the sweat. I just rinse it well in fresh water and air dry it. My last shirt lasted 10 years (maybe that's about 200 days of use) and the only reason I got a new one is because the fabric is beginning to feel a little thin. But after all this use there are no rips, no seams coming undone, no buttons falling off...so, good construction.

The Bahama II range of shirts are excellent for hiking, particularly in hot weather as they both wick well and are well ventilated. I have bought several, both long and short sleeve. They are made of strong material that resists dirt and stains and they wash well and dry rapidly, The only reason I will not give 5 stars to these otherwise excellent shirts is because of the poor quality Velcro fastners that Columbia have used for the pockets. This is a pity because the pockets are of a good size, but are very difficult to close. This creates a theft hazard in crowds, especially if like me you like to carry money and cards in your shirt pockets. My old Columbia Titanium shirts have larger better quality Velcro fastners that still a provide a secure closure after many years of use.

Most want to know the size! I am 6 feet, 175 lbs., and always wear a large, 34-35 sleeve. I ordered this Large long sleeve and the sleeves fit perfect. The rest fits a bit big, in the shoulders and body. I then ordered this short sleeve in Medium. Fit is more typical of a large, as compared side by side along all my large shirts. I included pictures and measurements because they tell the truth, I wish more reviewers would also! If sleeve length is not an issue, the medium fits best if you normally wear a large, unless you want that extra room. Being slim and trim, the medium is still more roomier than my other large shirts. Medium body is 24.5", and large is 26" wide. Length from armpit to tail, med. 15.5", large is 16". Shoulders from seam to seam is, med. 21.5" and large 22.5" The sleeve length of a long sleeve is 33.5. on a large. If someone else could post a review of the sleeve length of a medium, measured from collar to end of sleeve, that would help others!

Well made, in fact extremely well-made. Very stylish very functional very cool. However the sizes really are big I bought a medium and it feels like an extra large. So if you need a medium I wanted to fit will I would order a small.

The build and quality of this Columbia shirt is everything you could expect. My only issue is fitment. I usually wear slim fit shirts and ordered this based on the image. When I received, the shirt sleeve length was good as well as chest but the cut around the stomach is "baggy". I'm 6'2" 190lbs and this shirt doesn't fit like the photo. Regardless I'm keeping because it just seems all of these kind of shirts are "baggy in the belly" unlike the the sporty PFG Terminal Tackle shirts.

I bought this shirt to wear backpacking, and I’m really putting it to the test. Sometimes I wear it for 2 weeks at a time without washing it, all while hiking and wearing a pack. It’s held up great so far. I love how light the fabric is. The shirt keeps me cool in hot weather and serves as an adequate base layer in cold weather. There is some discoloration from sweat, but nothing too bad.I love how the sleeves roll up and down. It feels very secure and looks good. The shirt seems like it’s going to live forever even thought I’m asking a lot of it. There are no rips in the fabric despite the fact that I’ve worn it through many forests and scrambled up and down rocks. There is plenty of room in the shoulders for movement.I am a 5’8” female and I weigh 180. I ordered a men’s medium because I wanted it to be big. I used to own a small and it was still big on me, but I like them this way so they are very airy. I will attach a photo.

I wanted one of these for fly fishing on lakes, long sleeves are a must! At this price a real bargain fit is bang on and it looks well made, time will tell I guess.
